Walking milestone

This was an incredible milestone for a baby and once she reaches to this stage, the meaning was to keep an full eye look out on her.

She reaches this milestone when she was ard 13 months.  Since then till now she is 16 months, she has been an active gal @home.  My play yard could no longer satisfy her or contain her long enough.  She gave me signals that she needs more freedom to roam around the hse. My play yard has now converted to protect my tv console area from her curiosity mind n physique.  I could end up missing my remote ctrl, or keys misplaced at somewhere in the living room due to her playful mindset.  She began to invade into my kitchen, the most dangerous place of all in the entire hse.  Hubby wanted to educate her that kitchen was not a place for her, but we just couldn't stop her from entering the kitchen without our consent.  She is sneaky, when I am focus on something else. She sneaks to the kitchen and opens her favourite drawer that  is right below the oven where all her foods are there.  Her hands will try to reach out on anything that she could grab.  My worst fear is afraid that she opens the drawer where all the glasses are kept.  I better settle a safety gate as soon as I could.

This was how mummy look on the day before you were born

A happy mum, preparing for your arrival on the next day...
I remembered on my last trimester, on 30th Sep 2010, the first bleeding occurred in office.  I discovered it when i went to pee.  Happened at morning.  I panicked when I saw the blood.  Told myself to stay calm and immediately inform my head that I need to go hospital.  Called up your papa and shivered as I brought up the news to him. Broke into tears straight away when I put down the phone.  Luckily, a nice colleague (Auntie Joanne) of mine, accompanied me to the hospital and consoled me at the same time.  I'm grateful for her helpfulness.

Mama's gynae told us to bring forward the C-sect date to 15 Oct as he worried for mama and your safety.  He ordered me to bedrest at home as long as I could.  If there was another bleeding, got to send to hospital straight away and an emergency C-sect might required.

On 8th Oct, 2nd bleeding occurred at home.  It was a Friday. Papa and mama were actually excited and considered to see you on that day.  On 2nd thought, because of my condition (placenta previa major) it will be better for my gynae to gather all the best men together for my operation.  Your delivery date was postponed to 11th Oct.

We believed that you are such a decisive gal that even on the actual day of delivery, u decided ur time to deliver too.  Y was it so?  You made mama bled again on our way to KKH at 7am.  Straight away, with no further delay, you and I were pushed to the operation theatre.  You were born at 8am sharp.  :)

In my womb - started to kick and i can feel you

This should be 24th week of pregnancy, that was when I can feel your kicking, the little tremors in my stomach.

About 12 more weeks to go, i will be seeing you soon.
